Weld Root Gouging Machine
Designed for miling grooves of external welds at 4 o'clock on cyindrical and conical pipes. Automatic operation with work-piece di-can be upameter from 3000 to 15000 mm and length from 2000 to 4000 mm.
External card type Hydraulic cutting and beveling machine
Offshore Double-end Cutting Machine High automation and cutting quality, featuring optimized nesting and multiple programming methods.
Steel Structure Welding Robot is mainly used for teaching-free automatic welding process of various products such as crane beams, steel structure reinforcement plates, purlin support beams, bridge partitions, etc.
In heavy industries, shipbuilding, pressure vessels, or large storage tank manufacturing, welding often requires "double-sided welding" (meaning after the front side is welded, the back side is welded as well).
Function: Once the front side welding is complete, and before welding the back side, the slag, pores, and incomplete fusion residues at the root of the first weld bead must be thoroughly removed. This process is called root gouging (or back gouging).
The Machine: A root gouging machine is the mechanical equipment used to perform this task automatically or semi-automatically. It typically utilizes plasma arc gouging, carbon arc air gouging, or mechanical grinding to quickly cut a clean groove along the weld seam. This ensures that the subsequent back-side weld fuses completely, guaranteeing the overall quality of the weld.
